After a false start earlier in the year caused by the global pandemic, Gree New Zealand was finally able to host its first ever Dealer Conference with the theme “Inspiring Innovation”. The event was held in the famous tourist town of Rotorua from the 4th November. There were forty Gree Dealers attending this conference, there to witness the independent innovation, spirit and strength of Gree.
The three day event was aimed at introducing a range of exciting new Gree products to the New Zealand market. From mini GMV all the way up to A-Series inverter chillers, there were products for both residential and commercial use. The conference started with the introduction of the Gree A series Inverter chillers. Gree’s innovative new chiller can be used for both comfort and process cooling, opening the door to New Zealand’s large farming and horticulture sectors. This was then backed up with the New Zealand launch of the full range of Gree VRF products, from the mini GMVs to the heat recovery GMV5 series, and the world leading GMV Solar PV series. Products adopting high efficiency, clean energy and innovative thinking, prove Gree to be a world leader in its field. A range of displays also allowed the dealers to learn first-hand the many features and benefits, the ease of installation and the convenience of commissioning the new products. Added to this Gree New Zealand launched its new dealer rewards program “Ultimate Degrees”. This program will reward Gree Dealers with local and overseas travel, weekend and one-off events while further enhancing the benefits of being part of the Gree family.
Besides introducing the new products and technology to the dealers, Gree New Zealand also arrange many activities to show off Rotorua to the visitors. From sailing to jet boating, four wheeled off-roading to go karting and to trying the many locally produced foods the conference was capped off with a magnificent dinner in the Redwood forest. At this dinner and in line with Gree New Zealand’s corporate and social responsibility they ran a charity auction and raised $8,000 NZD (36,000 RMB) for a local charity aimed at introducing engineering to young New Zealanders.
Since Gree’s introduction to New Zealand in 2002, Gree New Zealand has faced an uphill battle with the major Japanese brands. There was a low acceptance in the market place for Chinese brands. However, through cooperation with Gree HQ, product development and the ceaseless endeavors of Gree New Zealand, Gree products have gained recognition with New Zealand consumers, making Gree one of the fastest growing brands in the market and the leading Chinese brand.
In the 2021 refrigeration year, Gree New Zealand will continue to expand the product line up and sales channels, while focusing on the new Gree commercial products launched at the conference, to reveal Gree’s technical strength and to acquire the recognition of the world class Chinese manufacturing abilities.
